In Yerevan, protesters nominated Archbishop Galstanyan to the post of Prime Minister of Armenia

(RISU).

This was stated by one of the organization’s leaders, Gurgen Melikyan, during a speech at a rally in Yerevan, RFE/RL reports .

Activists of the movement started marching from the border village of Kirants with Azerbaijan on May 4, and since May 9, they have been holding meetings and actions of defiance in Yerevan and the regions of the country.

Participants of the movement, who do not agree with the process of border delimitation with Azerbaijan, demand the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the formation of a temporary government.

On Sunday, the protesters reached the complex of government dachas. Archbishop Galstanyan announced at the rally that he would be waiting for a meeting with Pashinyan there. Then they returned to the city center.
